Privacy Policy

SolveDXF is a browser-based DXF auto-nesting tool. This policy explains — in plain language — exactly what data we handle and where it lives. The short version: your CAD files never leave your device.

1. What we collect and where it lives

• Account data (name, email address, hashed password) — stored in Supabase (our authentication and database provider) so you can sign in across devices.
• Project metadata (project name, material, sheet size, status, nesting efficiency) — stored in Supabase so your project list follows your account.
• CAD files, uploaded images and nesting results — processed and stored only in your browser using IndexedDB. They are never uploaded to our servers. Clearing your browser storage deletes them permanently.
• Local preferences (theme, workshop defaults, sound settings, storage consent) — stored in your browser's localStorage.

2. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies. The only browser storage we use is strictly functional: your sign-in session token, your theme choice, your workshop defaults, and the consent flag for caching the compute engine.

3. Third-party services

• Supabase — authentication and project metadata hosting.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• jsDelivr & PyPI — the nesting compute engine (Pyodide, ezdxf) is downloaded from these public CDNs once per browser. No user data is sent; it is a plain file download.
• Google Fonts — font files are fetched from Google's CDN, which technically sees your IP address; we plan to self-host fonts in a future update.

4. Your rights and controls

• Deletion — you can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes all stored account and project metadata. You can also purge all locally cached CAD files from Settings with one click.
• Access & portability — your project metadata is visible in the app, and your local CAD files are physically on your device. For other access requests, use the contact section below.
• No profiling — we do not build advertising profiles, sell data, or share data with third parties for marketing.

5. Data retention

Account and project metadata are kept while your account exists and deleted when you delete your account. Local browser data remains until you clear it (in-app purge or browser settings).

6. Children

SolveDXF is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

8. Contact

Account deletion and local data purge are fully self-service in the app's Settings page. A dedicated privacy contact channel will be published here before public launch.
